ANNOUNCEMENT CONCERNING TEV SCHOLARSHIPS FOR GRADUATE STUDY IN TURKEY
The Turkish Education Foundation grants scholarships to those graduates of universities, academies and vocational academies who are committed to Atatürk's principles, are of strong, reliable character, and who have a demonstrated need for financial assistance. CANDIDACY CONDITIONS
The candidate must:
- Be a citizen of the Turkish Republic
- Adhere to the principles of Atatürk
- Demonstrate a need for financial assistance, which is defined as:
a demonstrable need for financial assistance according to an assessment of the candidate's assets and income not accepting gainful employment nor receiving any additional salaries, scholarships or loans (the only exception being a loan for school tuition – those who receive educational loans or scholarships from the State or any other scholarship cannot apply.)
- Meet the following qualifying conditions:
- For those who are new registrants to a higher education institution: These candidates must place in the top 50% of the class that registers for the same department in terms of OSYS points.
- For those continuing their higher education: These candidates must not have any unsatisfactory grades and they must have a grade point average of 2.5 (on a 4-point scale) or (60 out of100); furthermore, they must have qualified to attend the subsequent year of the program. (Those candidates who have the requisite GPA but have three or more unsatisfactory classes may not apply.)
- Be strong and trustworthy in terms of character and patriotism.
Note: Students of private universities, secondary or external education schools, the Open University, Distance Learning programs and students studying in the last year of their Master's degree are not eligible for scholarships. Second year students of vocational academies may apply for a scholarship. APPLICATION PROCEDURE
- The application dates are from October 1-31.
- The TEV Student Information Application Form can be filled out online at www.tev.org.tr and printed. It should be submitted to the appropriate faculty with the required documents. Those who do not submit the requisite forms will not be considered. Outdated forms that were designed to be filled in by hand are no longer valid. They must be computer printouts.
- These forms are valid at eligible faculties for the scholarship. Universities that are eligible will be active on the website; schools not eligible will be inactive on our website. Students of schools that are not eligible should not fill in the forms.
Required documents for scholarship applications
- For those registering for their Masters' Degree: A copy of the candidate's official OSYS result and a document indicating the class for which they have registered.
- For those continuing their higher education: A transcript and proof of registration for the next year.
- For all students: Documentation that shows the financial status of the student (paycheck documentation, etc.)
