Tev Domestic Scholarships

TEV offers domestic scholarships to those successful students of technical and industrial vocational high schools, universities, masters and doctorate programs who are devoted to Ataturk’s Principles and Reforms and are in need of financial support. Bursars are selected through scholarship commission formed by students’ own educational institutions.

While 119 students availed themselves to TEV scholarships in the year of its establishment, this number has increased to 150.136 in 40 years.

In addition to the students selected by educational institutions, those students who are disabled or grew up in an orphanage and qualified to start higher education, and studying children of disaster victim families also make use of TEV scholarship contingencies every year.

In this context, 4041 students were granted scholarships in relation to the 17 August and 12 November 1999 Marmara Earthquakes, 1000 students for 3 February 2002 Afyon Earthquake, and 100 earthquake victim students for 1 May 2003 Bingol Earthquake.

In accordance with the information obtained from educational institutions every year, scholarships of successful students will continue until the end of their education. Scholarships of those students who have failed or have been detected to receive scholarships or loans from other organizations will be stopped.

In addition to offering scholarships, TEV presents the “Merits Awards” to those bursars who complete their education at success levels defined in the Domestic Scholarship and Awards Regulation in order to promote success.
